New Nigerian Song of praise - Maybe, A Re-visitation of THE Former Methods OF REGIONALISM? The Nigerian Senate has now passed a bill that looks for a re-visitation of Nigeria's old public song of devotion, "Nigeria, we hail you." It was during the time of Olusegun Obasanjo's tactical organisation in 1978 that this song of praise was dropped for "Emerge, O' Countrymen." The inquiry now on the lips of numerous Nigerians is: amidst financial difficulties, instability, and general low resolve among the Nigerian people, should changing the public song of praise be the focal point of our chosen delegates?
