Katsina is one of the most insecure states in Nigeria.Terrorists kidnapped more than 80 people in the village of 'Yar-Malamai in the Faskari Local Government of Katsina State.This comes less than 24 hours after the attackers killed some soldiers in a military camp in the area.
Katsina police spokesperson ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu confirmed the incident to TRT Afrika but said he did not have any details on the nature of the attack.However, a resident of the area who did not want to be named told TRT Afrika Hausa that the bandits attacked the area from Saturday until Monday.
.He stated that in the village of Yar-Malamai, the bandits kidnapped 80 people, but today, Wednesday, the bandits released 22 people. He added that the bandits killed at least eight people, including four soldiers and a child.one soldier and three civilians."They burned my house; they burned my wife's and my parents' rooms; they burned our food; they burned my car; there was a blower that I bought for $60,000, and they also took it," he said.
"I assure you that the house that survived in the town of 'Yar-Malamai is not more than one house because even the shops were burned." He explained that the people of the town have already dispersed, and some are on the rocks in the neighbouring villages to find shelter.
Katsina State is one of the Nigerian states that is facing attacks by bandits who kidnap people.In recent days, the government of Katsina has established a security force of militants to stop the problems of kidnappers, but in spite of this force, it has only made a few people.
