The suspects were captured on May 29, 2024, by a group of criminal investigators from the State Insight Division (SID), led by Partner Chief of Police (ACP) Mohammed S. Baba.As of now, north of 1,100 currently enlisted SIM cards, three enrollment machines, and extra devices utilised in the unlawful tasks have been recovered. 

The examination uncovered that the suspects sold the pre-enrolled SIM cards at costs ranging from three to 5,000 naira each.The cards were then utilised by crooks for different illegal exercises, including extortion and psychological oppression, consequently representing a critical danger to public safety.
