Court Sends Four People To Life Detainment In Ekiti.

The High Court of Ekiti State directed by Hon.Justice A.L Ogunmoye on Monday indicted and condemned four people to life detainment. 

The convicts are: Adeoye Sunday, Adewusi Dare, Bamigboye Damilola and Ogunlayi Seun, who were sentenced for the offense of seizing and five years detainment for the offense of scheme. 

The fifth defendant,Ojo Tope was , be that as it may, absolved and released for every one of the offenses.

The offenses were committed by the convicts on the fourteenth day of September, 2017 at lkere - Ekiti where one Lady Florence Popoola, a matured lady of 75 years was abducted in her home and was kept in the woods among Eyio and Awo-Ekiti for four days until she was in the end delivered after the installment of N1.5 million payoff.

The four convicts were captured and accused to Court of the offenses of Conspiracy,Armed Burglary as opposed to Area 6(b) &1(2) (a)of the Burglary and Guns (Extraordinary Arrangements) Act, Cap.

 R11, Laws of the Organization of Nigeria, 2004, Capturing and Connivance to Seize in opposition to Areas 3 and 4 of the Ekiti State Hijack and Psychological oppression (Prohibition)Law,2015.

The learned Head of Public Arraignments, Julius Ajibare,who indicted the case for Ekiti State called four observers and offered 8 Displays to demonstrate his case. 

The convicts, who were addressed by their guidance, Chris Omokhafe and Sunday Ochai gave proof with all due respect and called no different observers.

The Respectable Court, after completely assessing the proof conveyed judgment and held that the arraignment demonstrated the offenses of connivance to abduct and seizing against the first - fourth respondents for certain.

The Hon.Judge thusly indicted four out for the five respondents and condemned them to life detainment.
