Breaking: Bandits Have Kidnapped 25 Female Students In the School

Armed assailants in Nigeria have taken 25 female students from a boarding institution in Kebbi State and resulted in the death of at least one staff member, officials reported on Monday. The girls were seized around 4 a.m., and no group has immediately taken responsibility for the act. 


According to police spokesperson Nafi'u Abubakar Kotarkoshi, the attackers were equipped with "advanced weaponry" and exchanged gunfire with security personnel before making the abductions.


 "A coordinated operation involving multiple teams is actively searching the suspected escape paths and nearby woodland areas to rescue the kidnapped girls and apprehend the offenders," he stated, noting that one individual was killed and another sustained injuries.

"Our security forces are regarding this incident as a kidnapping perpetrated by organized criminal networks motivated by profit. 


"They initially targeted the teacher’s home and killed him before proceeding to take down the guard," said Maga. "The Federal Government expresses significant concern and support for the families of the young women taken from the Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, situated in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. 


We are firmly dedicated to ensuring the safe return of the girls," he added. "President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasized that safeguarding all Nigerians, especially schoolchildren, is a primary duty of the State. The government denounces this atrocious attack on innocent students and the murder of educational staff who were fulfilling their honorable responsibilities."
