Breaking: UK Denied Nigeria's Request To Transfer Ekweremadu

The United Kingdom has turned down a request from the Nigerian government to permit former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu to finish his prison sentence in Nigeria. 


Ekweremadu is currently incarcerated in a UK prison after being convicted in 2023 for conspiring to harvest the kidney of a young man. 


He was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison as a result of this high-profile organ trafficking case that garnered international attention.
