The Nigerian Army's 6 Division, based in Port Harcourt, has seized stolen crude oil worth over N150 million in the Niger Delta.  In a statement released on Monday, Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the division, reported that troops dismantled multiple illegal refining operations and apprehended four suspected oil thieves, recovering more than 109,000 liters of stolen petroleum products in the region. These operations, conducted in partnership with other security agencies, took place between November 10 and November 23, 2025. The recovered items included over 88,000 liters of stolen crude oil and 21,355 liters of illegally refined Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO). The operations spanned Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Bayelsa States.
